Banpu NEXT achieves Carbon Neutral Organization certification, reinforcing its commitment to Net Zero 2040 target

Banpu NEXT Co., Ltd., a leading Net Zero Solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific region, and its subsidiaries in Thailand have received the Carbon Neutral Organization certification from Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO. Having recorded total greenhouse gas emissions of 2,106 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e) in 2024, Banpu NEXT fully offset these emissions through carbon credits from T-VER biomass renewable energy projects.

This achievement builds upon the company’s ongoing Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) verification practice as part of its progressive sustainability roadmap and comprehensive strategies across all three emission scopes by encouraging employees to actively participate in energy-saving and carbon reduction activities, improving energy-efficient facilities, and partnering with suppliers who adhere to ESG principles. Additionally, Banpu NEXT has joined TGO’s Net Zero Pathway certification program (Year 1) and has been recognized as a “Climate Action Leading Organization” by the Thailand Carbon Neutral Network (TCNN), a unit under TGO. This marks significant progress in the company’s comprehensive roadmap toward achieving Net Zero by 2040 for its operations in Thailand, which includes targets of 30% emissions reduction by 2030 for Scope 1 and 2, and 50% reduction across all scopes by 2035 while actively supporting a sustainable society and Thailand’s Net Zero goals.
